Walking down the hill to the beach in Limbe, I came across some kids picking up seeds off the ground. I asked what they were going to use them for...one little girl said they dry them and then try to sell them. I looked up at the tree they fell from, pinched off a leaf, crushed and smelled it. It was allspice! I asked if I could take her picture and she did not understand me even though we were in the anglophone section of the country and everyone speaks English. The man across the street "translated" for me and asked her if I could snap her. So I repeated...can I snap you? It was too cute!
